Nottingham based AI startup Blueskeye AI has been given approval by the Medical and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency ( MHRA) to begin clinical trials of its TrueBlue perinatal mental health App. The app uses artificial intelligence to scan peoples’ faces and voices and can identify and monitor signs of depression.

BlueSkeye AI has partnered with Cornes Technologies of Japan to promote its B-Automotive SDK and leverage Cornes Technologies' expertise and networks to partner and collaborate with automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers in Japan.

Blueskeye AI, recently appeared in an episode of the BBC current affairs programme Panorama.

When University of Nottingham and Horizon Digital Economy Research academic and filmmaker Richard Ramchurn wanted to push the boundaries of how interactive a film could be, he turned to former colleague and entrepreneur Professor Michel Valstar.

Valstar’s start up, BlueSkeye AI, is a spin out from the University of Nottingham designed to commercialise the Professor’s 18 years of experience in affective computing and social signal processing. Experience which has led to the publication of over 100 papers, cited over 16000 times.
