Blueskeye AI shortlisted for StartUps Magazine Most Innovative Tech Award
Blueskeye AI, a leading provider of machine learning technology for affective and social signal analysis, has been shortlisted for the Most Innovative Tech Award at StartUp Magazine’s annual Hustle Awards taking place at the Steel Yard in London on 20 July.
The Award, sponsored by electronic component distributor Anglia Unicorn, recognises early stage technology companies with genuinely new and innovative technology that’s having an impact.
Blueskeye were shortlisted following a day-long judging process, where 16 judges, with their own impressive backgrounds in digital innovation, reviewed a record number of entries.
In shortlisting Blueskeye, judges highlighted the company’s use of machine learning technology to scan the face and objectively, automatically and repeatedly analyse affective and social signals (face and voice data) to monitor an individual’s affective and socially expressive behaviour and infer emotion, mood and mental state. They also recognised the company’s growing impact broadening its offer from an initial focus on perinatal health to include the automotive, and social robotics sectors.
Professor Michel Valstar, Founding CEO of Blueskeye AI welcomed the nomination saying,
“Nomination shows the progress we have made since our spin-out from the University of Nottingham’s School of Computer Science, and the receipt of funding in a venture capital funding round led by XTX Ventures in October 2022.
In that time we have launched a new software development kit (SDK) and developed two further SDKs which help companies utilise our technology in their products in the health, wellbeing and automotive sectors.”
The Hustle Awards celebrate visionary entrepreneurs who are catalysts of innovation and whose companies have the potential to become significant contributors to the UK economy.
In March of this year Blueskeye won the Medilink Midlands Business Award for Innovation.
Blueskeye AI is shortlisted alongside nine others.
